Growing interest in LCA DVD Worship Services.

LCA DVD Worship Services are now being distributed each week to a growing number of congregations and individuals. St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marton, NZ, has been using them for those who are shut ins or who have been unwell. They recently used one for a worship service in the church.

A woman from USA has requested a copy for her mother who is in an assisted living facility for dementia and is unable to get to church. They watch it together in her mother’s room. Another woman from a remote area of NSW receives a copy for use in a home church. A number of congregations and individuals around Australia are using the DVD’s to enable many who are not able to worship regularly to share in worship with fellow Lutherans.

The services are recorded at St Michael’s Lutheran Church, Hahndorf, SA and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Toowoomba, Qld. We thank all those who help with the production and distribution of these DVD’s. May God add his blessing to those who are able to watch them.

The DVD Worship Service is a joint project of the Commission on Worship and Lutheran Media Ministry. It is provided as a free service by Lutheran Media Ministry and is fully funded by donations. You can watch the whole or selected parts of the service.

If your congregation doesn’t have the equipment to play the DVD you may apply for a Technology grant. Please contact your local Church District for further information.

This official LCA DVD worship service resource is produced by Lutheran Media Ministry in cooperation with the Commission on Worship.

Financial support from the LLL and Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Magill, and the enthusiastic cooperation of a team of volunteers, enabled high quality filming equipment to be installed in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Toowoomba and St Michael’s Lutheran Church, Hahndorf.
